Poem in Synaesthesia, an exhibition

Synaesthesia opens at The Substation on Friday. The exhibition pairs 17 writers with 17 artists, with the artists creating work based on the writers’ texts. There’ll be a reading on opening night (which I’ll be in) and the exhibition itself will be on till the 17th.

I won’t lie: I’m not a huge fan of the conceit (reverse ekphrasis is like synesthesia!), which is a little overused and really not that accurate. But the idea itself, stripped of the conceit, is very cool, as is the line-up; I’m excited.
